Christmas Family Festival at LifePointe

Date: Sunday, December 14 | 5-8:30pm

Our hope this year is to build an event that is more like the kind of event that we would enjoy as a church, and then invite the Serve68 Adopt-A-Family guests into that event with us. So - less of an event that we make happen FOR them, and more of an event that we enjoy WITH them.

Want to serve with your kids? If you are comfortable serving with your own kids, we encourage you to serve as a family! Please understand that we are not able to provide childcare for the children of volunteers.

Volunteer needs include help in these areas: 

• Photographers/Videographers
• Kitchen/Gym: chili supper serving, prep, cleanup
• Craft Team
• Photo Booth Team: hospitality & picture snapping on guests’ phones
• Cookie Team: serving cookies & water in foyer, after dinner
• Greeter Team (both inside and outside)
• SERT Team
• Setup Team (earlier on Sunday, as well as some opportunities during the week prior)
• Cleanup & Tear-Down (8pm - 9pm)
• Gift Room Distribution
• Spanish Speakers (needed in all areas!)

Donation Needs: 

• Chili batches for 12 
  • We need 45 donations of 12 servings, frozen flat in 1-gallon ziplocks, deposited to the main kitchen freezer by/before Sunday morning Dec. 15
• Christmas Cookies 
  • Looking for 100 dozen Christmas cookies, white or yellow icing only, delivered Sunday Dec. 15 to the main kitchen
• Wrapping Paper & Scotch Tape 
  • We would love to send new rolls of wrapping paper & scotch tape to send home with our 100+ guests and their Christmas gifts

SCHEDULE:

• 5-5:30pm, volunteers gather (LifePointe volunteers enter/park in back parking lot, gather, pray and then head to their areas of service)
• 5:30pm, DOORS OPEN
• 5:30-6:30pm, Chili Dinner (served in the gym) All volunteers cycle through gym to have dinner at some point between 5:30pm and 6:30pm 
  • Gift Pickup for Guests (foyer/Fireside Room)
  • Photo Booths for everyone (Lobby outside EC, and East end of Foyer)
  • Craft stations for kids (maybe on tables down the long hallway from office to gym)
  • Cookie Team distributes cookies & water throughout the building
• 6:00-6:30pm, "A Charlie Brown Christmas" is shown in the worship center
• 6:30-7:00pm, Cookies & Carols
  • Christmas Carol Sing-A-Long in worship center
  • Chili supper leftovers will be packed and sent home with guests and LifePointe people who would like them
• 7:00-8:30pm, cleanup & tear-down
